File Uploads - Quick Reference on sending files

Upload process:
  • Files : Send as many as you wish in separate uploads or combined in a ZIP archive (or equivalent Mac).

  • Recommended maximum sizes per file depend on connection type:*
    - Modem:        30 megabytes/file
    - DSL/Cable:  150 megabytes/file
    - T1 or higher: 255 megabytes/file

  • Most people will be able to see an upload progress indicator (in a pop up window) when sending each file by selecting an optional link.

  • A form appears after each upload for you to add order details.  No payment information is required or requested. Payment arrangements are made later.
Types of files:
  • We can work with files from most PC or Mac programs.

  •  Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format is highly recommended but not required. Sending Adobe Acrobat PDF files with the fonts embedded will help to avoid delays.

  • Our set up fee includes digital Raster Image Processing(RIP) and a general visual evaluation of your file. We may call you to advice on formatting or imaging issues , if any, and help you to correct them before final production.

  • We have a wide range of fonts. However, if your documents use special fonts, we may ask you to upload these.
* In reality, our servers have no practical limits on what you can upload in one or several files. However, there are Internet variables out of our control which may affect the integrity of a single very large file over an extended period of upload time. The maximum file sizes that we suggest have been proven to work consistently in the past.
You may combine several small files into a Zip file that stays close to the recommended sizes.

If your file is too large, try to break it into smaller segments or call/email us for assistance.

We aim to please you.
